How it works
Under the visionary leadership of Marissa Martinez-Thiele, a 19-year veteran of the aesthetic industry, our team recognized the potential of EmSculpt NEO and moved decisively to bring it to our community before any other provider in the region.
This pioneering commitment reflects a core principle here: our clients deserve access to the most advanced, clinically proven technologies available in aesthetic medicine, not months or years after they debut elsewhere, but as soon as they are available.
EmSculpt NEO represents a genuine breakthrough in body contouring because it is the first and only technology to simultaneously deliver both fat reduction and muscle building in a single treatment. Previous generations of body contouring devices could address fat or muscle, but never both at once. EmSculpt NEO changed that paradigm entirely, and Advanced Skin Medspa was proud to lead that change in the Hudson Valley.
EmSculpt NEO delivers its remarkable results through the combination of two distinct energy modalities working simultaneously: High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic energy (HIFEM+) and Radiofrequency (RF) energy. This dual-action approach is what sets EmSculpt NEO apart from every other body contouring device on the market.
HIFEM+ for Muscle Building: The HIFEM+ component generates powerful electromagnetic pulses that trigger supramaximal muscle contractions, the kind of deep, intense contractions that are impossible to achieve through voluntary exercise. During a single 30-minute EmSculpt NEO session, the treated muscle group undergoes approximately 20,000 of these contractions. This extreme stimulus forces the muscle to adapt, increasing both muscle fiber density and volume. Clinical studies have demonstrated an average 25 percent increase in muscle mass in the treated area.
RF Energy for Fat Reduction: Simultaneously, radiofrequency energy heats the subcutaneous fat layer to temperatures that damage and destroy fat cells through a process called apoptosis. These destroyed fat cells are then naturally processed and eliminated by the body over the following weeks. Clinical data shows an average 30 percent reduction in subcutaneous fat in the treated area.
The synergy between these two technologies is key. The RF energy warms the muscles before the HIFEM+ contractions begin, essentially providing a warm-up that enhances the effectiveness of the muscle contractions. Meanwhile, the mechanical action of the contractions further enhances fat cell disruption. The result is outcomes that exceed what either technology could deliver independently.
